Mis establos!!!

Although I preferred IRC I'm now on Twitter at @JoBrodie. None of the science or medical information I might post to this blog should be taken as medical advice (I'm not medically trained). Think of this blog as a sort of nursery for my half-baked ideas hence 'stuff that occurs to me'.

I work both at (Job 1) Diabetes UK as a Science Information Officer (effectively a science-specialist librarian but not quite a clinical librarian) and (Job 2) Queen Mary University of London (on the EPSRC-funded @CHI_MED project); all views are my own. EMAIL is me.meeeee @ gmail.com (replace me and meeeee with obvious letters, eg... jo.brodie@ etc).

All of my other blogs

One blog is never enough. I've got over 10 of them I think, on various different platforms sprawling across the web in an undignified way.

I have four blogs on Blogger, two of which are public and only one of which (this one) isn't mothballed. I created my account in 2005 and started blogging then but was utterly clueless about it.

Posterous - I have a sizeable collection there!
  • CHI+MED - this is my work blog (I am the main contributor but write with other scientists on the project). We're funded by the EPSRC for six years to look at how interactive medical devices can be made safer.
  • JoBrodie's Posterous - my main one. It's the place to which, when I get an email that interests me, I forward it with comments.
  • Scicomm Jobs Vacancies Posterous - this is the one where I post all the science communication jobs I find
  • blackheath and beyond - an occasional blog for stuff that's about where I live
  • Jodiepedia - named after my Flickr account, this is where I generally post photos
  • Diabetes Posterous / ScienceDiabetes - where I post stuff that's about diabetes.
I've got one at TypePad but I can't remember what it's called, one at WordPress called blogmeal about my inability to cook and one at Tumblr on bad PR, called PRlapses.
